5 Brighton & Hove Hotels you’ll be surprised allow dogs

We contacted all the hotels in Brighton & Hove thinking maybe a couple might allow dogs in the rooms, but we were pleasantly surprised.

Here are our top 5 of those 20-odd surprisingly dog-friendly hotels:

5. Malmaison

Well Malmaison your name may mean Bad House but your dog policy makes you a Good Hotel.

Guests are welcome to bring their pets to stay at Malmaison and we welcome well behaved dogs to all our properties.

Cost: Well behaved dogs over 1 year old may share their owners room for a charge of £20 per night inc of VAT.

4. Hotel Ibis

A business hotel for business dogs. Hotel Ibis, right by Brighton train station is one of the few chain hotels that are dog friendly. Good boi Ibis.

We are a pet friendly hotel so we are more than happy to welcome dogs into our rooms.

Cost: Supplementary additional cost of £10 per dog per night to cover enhanced room cleaning after departure.

3. Hotel du Vin

Hotel du Vin is a stones-throw from the pebble beaches of Brighton, ideal for morning walkies (see our guide to the dog friendly Brighton beaches).

Luxuriate with your dogs (2 max.) in one of their 50 opulent rooms or have a sniff around the famous Lanes in Brighton’s nearby historic quarter.

We are dog friendly and offer rooms which are suitable for our guests travelling with up to two dogs.

Cost: £20.00 per dog, per night

2. The Grand

The Grand! The only hotel named after it's room price.

Our four-legged guests can be booked into any room type and will receive a welcome pack including a cosy blanket, a water bowl and some special treats.

Cost: + £30 per night

1. Old Ship Hotel

The oldest hotel in Brighton (over 450 years old!) is also one of the most dog-friendly hotels in Brighton. And it boasts the cheapest supplemental charge here at just £12.50/dog/night.

Your pupper also gets a little doggy welcome pack 🥹
